About MESD
Launched in October 2017, the Maritime Energy & Sustainable Development Centre of Excellence (MESD) is jointly funded by SMI and Nanyang Technological University.
As the first maritime research centre supported by SMI, MESD has the mission to deepen maritime R&D capability to support Singapore’s strategic maritime needs and reinforce Singapore as a global maritime knowledge and innovation hub.
With the focus on green port and shipping, MESD works closely with key stakeholders within the maritime cluster to develop innovative and sustainable solutions.
