SMI-SIT Workshop on Future Ships and Systems Design Programme
The shipping industry is transforming with the advent of new technical and digital technologies, developments in energy and fuels, and more stringent environmental regulations. These shifts impact the safety, operational and commercial performance of vessels and require the industry to revamp and reform ship design to improve its agility in responses to changing requirements.
As such, SMI is planning develop a Future Ships and Systems Design R&D Programme to help the industry address these shifts through enhanced vessel design and design process, and to support the development of relevant capabilities in the industry.
